| Jan Chapman was first licensed in 1981 and served the needs of buyers and sellers for many years before her career took a change of course. She was the in-house computer geek, and found herself spending more time helping agents with computer and technical questions than she spent working the real estate market. She spent some time as branch manager for both Century 21 and Windermere, then in 1999 decided to become 'non-denominational' and began offering her services to agents from all companies, providing technical support and website development. The primary focus of her business was the development of a property search component, as full featured as any online property search out there, but available to the smaller companies for a reasonable price.
